High turnout and frequent return visits

A total of 75 different participants took part. 295 attendances were recorded out of 320 possible, giving overall attendance of 92.2%. Fifty-one participants returned for at least one further session.

Ratings from participants, facilitators and staff

Across 97 evaluation units, participants gave 1,062 numerical ratings with an average of 4.77 out of 5; ratings of 4 or 5 accounted for 95.7% of responses. Facilitators rated the feasibility of the programme at an average of 2.99 out of 3. Institutions' professional staff gave the highest marks to the suitability of session length and organisational feasibility (both 4.92 out of 5) and to the safety of delivery (4.85 out of 5).

What comes next

The most frequently expressed wish among participants was for the programme to continue or run more often. We are already incorporating the pilot's findings into the final version of the programme: more seated and supported variants of exercises, shorter step-by-step instructions, and music adjusted for audibility.
